this design was to meet the swimmers needs and create conditions, facilitating/ simplifying swimming on national or international level.
a pool for competition with the obligatory 50-meters lanes, was missing as well as diving boards that would cover any diving discipline.
important to my design was to create low-ceilinged parts of a structure: no protrusions in height, maintaining it equal across the entire scale.
it is embedded halfway into the ground. the upper half is completely paned to obtain a natural illumination of the pool.
the pool for competition is arranged in a way only sunlight from west and north will ever get in, so that athletes won't have any trouble being blinded by the sun.
